Seeds 2–7 play in the wild-card round. After all three games finish, seed 1 faces the lowest remaining seed in that conference.

Common questions

How many teams make the NFL playoffs?

Fourteen teams qualify: seven from the AFC and seven from the NFC. Each conference’s top seed skips the wild-card round.

How are NFL playoff teams matched?

Wild-card games pair seeds 2 and 7, 3 and 6, and 4 and 5 in each conference. The top seed then faces the lowest remaining seed in its conference. The other two survivors meet in the second divisional game.

Is this an official NFL bracket?

No. This is an independent bracket and picks tool from Sport Scheduler Pro. Enter your own projected or confirmed teams. It does not import live standings or official results.

Can I change a wild-card pick?

Yes. Divisional matchups are recalculated using the surviving seeds. If that changes teams in matches you have already picked, the editor asks before clearing affected later results.
