How many games are in a 6-team single-elimination bracket?
There are 5 played matches. Each match eliminates one team until one champion remains. Byes do not count as matches.
How many byes do 6 teams need?
A 6-team draw fits into 8 slots, leaving 2 first-round byes. A bye lets a team advance without playing.
Who receives the byes?
In a seeded draw, the highest-ranked entries receive first-round byes. A random draw assigns entries once at creation and saves that order. Reloading the bracket does not reshuffle it.
